ONE reads so much about the trouble with our hospitals I thought it would be nice to read something good.
I recently spent a few days in ward nine in Pontefract General Infirmary, from the time I arrived I was made to feel more like a friend than a patient, nothing was too much trouble for the nurses who saw to my every need. In the operating theatre the doctors and nurses soon put me at my ease and made me feel safe in their hands.

Everywhere was spotless and hands were cleaned every time a patient was touched. My thanks to everyone on ward nine for making my stay as pleasant as possible.
