TWINKLE-toed Ackworth youngsters danced across the world in 80 minutes at a special stage show.
Almost 200 children hit the stage at Wakefield Theatre Royal to perform a variety of routines, including Venetian ball dancing, Spanish jazz and the cancan to take their audience on a global tour.
The concert – which also raised £430 for the Candlighters children’s cancer charity – was organised by the G-Force Dance Academy, based in Ackworth.
Owner Gaynor Datson said: “Our dances were from all over the world and we even had tap-dancing penguins for the Antarctic.
“There was a group of adult dancers and everyone had a blast. We had a great response from the audience and people are still asking about it now.”
The G-Force Dance Academy meets in the parish rooms on Bell Lane. For more details contact Gaynor Datson on 01977 707984 or email gforcedance34@aol.com.
